General description
Il filtro a membrana idrofila Millipak® da 0,22 μm serve a produrre acqua priva di particelle e batteri al punto di dispensazione dei sistemi di purificazione dell′acqua. Il filtro è progettato con una membrana asimmetrica in polietersulfone (PES) con pori da 0,22 μm termosaldata su un alloggiamento in stirene acrilonitrile. In questo modo si riduce al minimo il rilascio di estraibili organici e inorganici.
Application
L′acqua purificata passata attraverso questo filtro può essere usata per qualsiasi impiego di laboratorio in cui sia necessaria acqua priva di batteri o particolati.
Features and Benefits
- L′unità è progettata come barriera sicura ed efficiente nei confronti di particelle e batteri.
- I pori conici della membrana assicurano portate elevate con pressioni differenziali basse.
- La membrana, il materiale dell′alloggiamento e i processi produttivi sono stati scelti in modo da ridurre al minimo il rilascio di estraibili organici e inorganici.
- La membrana è supportata da un disco in plastica rigida con canali che assicurano un flusso dell′acqua abbondante e un'elevata resistenza agli sbalzi di pressione senza rischi di rottura della membrana stessa.
- Si collega all′uscita del punto di erogazione dell′acqua, come le unità POD dei sistemi di purificazione Milli-Q®.
- La campana di protezione evita la contaminazione dell'acqua da parte dei batteri aerodispersi durante l′erogazione.
- Manutenzione senza problemi: il filtro viene installato e sostituito facilmente.
- Non sterile. Fornita sigillata ermeticamente, completa di Certificato di Qualità.

Can consumables be opened and refilled?

Unfortunately, this is not possible because of safety issues and the need to guarantee the quality of consumables and their interior purification components. Our consumables are manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility France in agreement with high quality standards.

If I have a final filter that I use only occasionally (e.g., Biopak®) and have another filter (e.g. Millipak®) that I most of the time, can I keep the 'occasional-use' filter for use again at a later time?

It is not possible to re-use a filter that has been used and then removed because air intake during replacement creates an airlock and blocks water passing through the filter. If you regularly need two different filters, we recommend using two POD dispensers.

How frequently do the various consumables need to be changed?

The frequency that consumables must be changed depends on the system's usage (treated water volume) and on the consumables themselves (time of usage). In order to ensure the quality of water and your results, the consumables should be replaced when the system alerts you.
