Gene Information

General description

Estrogen Receptor-β (ERβ) is a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily. It has nine exons and is mapped to human chromosome 14q23.2.

Anti-Estrogen Receptor-β Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Estrogen Receptor-β protein.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Estrogen Receptor-beta.

Immunogen Range: 71-120

Application

Anti-Estrogen Receptor-βantibody has been used in western blotting .{42,43}

Biochem/physiol Actions

Estrogen Receptor-β (ERβ) is involved in immune and inflammatory response. In females, estrogen receptor β (ESR2) is expected to play an important role in the progress of MDD (major depressive disorder). Aberrations in ESR2 gene result in bone mineral density variation.
