General description

Native thrombin from human plasma, bound to agarose beads.
Native thrombin from human plasma, bound to agarose beads. Thrombin is a key enzyme in the coagulation cascade. Converts fibrinogen to fibrin and activates factor XIII, which cross-links and stabilizes the fibrin polymer.

In 100 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl, ≤0.1% sodium azide, pH 7.4.

Preparation Note

Prepared from plasma that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
