Application

  • Quantitative analysis in forensic settings: Isotonitazene was included in a validation study of an analytical method for the quantitation of synthetic opioids in biological matrices, including plasma, blood, urine, liver, and brain, demonstrating its application in forensic toxicology and its role in authentic postmortem casework in urban settings (Pardi, Ford, and Cooper, 2023).

  • Opioid receptor binding affinity study: A non-radioactive mass spectrometry-based binding assay developed to measure the binding affinities of opioids, including Isotonitazene, emphasized its utility in pharmacological research, particularly for understanding interactions at the μ-opioid receptor, which is critical for developing new pain management therapies (Volz and Moosmann, 2022).
