Description générale

The Rat IL-6 ELSA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Rat IL-6 cell lysate and tissue lysate.

Immunogène

Recombinant Rat IL-6

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Rat Interleukin-6 ELISA Kit has been used to determine the plasma level of interleukin-6 (IL-6) via ELISA.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) acts as a neuromodulation factor. IL-6 has two signalling pathways, known as classic signalling pathway and trans-signalling pathway. It has a neuroprotective role in ischemic stroke, by activating IL-6/interleukin 6 receptor (IL-6R)/signal transducers and activators of transcription 3 (STAT3) signalling pathway. IL-6 is a multifunctional cytokine, which is implicated in acute inflammation. IL-6 is associated with SAPHO (synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis) syndrome.
