General description

Interferon alpha/beta receptor 1 (IFNAR-1) is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing three fibronectin type-III domains and is a member of the type II cytokine receptor family. IFNAR-1 serves as an interferon receptor specific to interferons alpha and beta, a family of type I interferons critical to the promotion and the linking of adaptive and innate immune response. Type I interferons all bind to a heterodimeric receptor composed of two subunits, IFNAR-1 and IFNAR-2. The binding of the type I IFNs initializes tyrosine phosphorylation for several proteins such as; IFNR alpha/beta subunits, JAKs, STAT, and TYK2 proteins.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes the extracellular domain of IFNAR-1.

Immunogen

Recombinant protein corresponding to the extracellular domain of mouse IFNAR-1.

Application

Anti-IFNAR-1 Antibody, clone MARI-5A3 is an antibody against IFNAR-1 for use in FC, IP, WB, NEUT.

Down syndrome (DS) is typically caused by triplication of chromosome 21. Phenotypically, DS presents with developmental, neurocognitive, and immune features. Epidemiologically, individuals with DS have less frequent viral infection, but when present, these infections lead to more severe disease. The
