General description
Histone H3 peptide mono-methylated at Lysine 9, biotinylated, substrate for histone demethylases belonging to the Jumanji domain-containing (JMJ) family .
Application
Suitable as a substrate for histone demethylases belonging to the Jumonji (JMJ) family. It can be used to study enzyme kinetics, and to screen small molecular inhibitors of these demethylases for drug discovery and HTS applications.

Heterochromatin mediates various nuclear processes including centromere function, gene silencing and nuclear organization. Although it was discovered nearly 75 years ago, the pathways involved in heterochromatin establishment, assembly and epigenetic maintenance have been elusive. Recent reports have demonstrated that distinct

The functional significance of mono-, di-, and trimethylation of lysine residues within histone proteins remains unclear. Antibodies developed to selectively recognize each of these methylated states at histone H3 lysine 9 (H3 Lys9) demonstrated that mono- and dimethylation localized specifically
