Description générale

Fox2, also referred to as RNA binding protein fox-1 homolog 2, is an RNA binding protein involved in the regulation of tissue-specific alternative splicing. This protein interacts with the ER-alpha N-terminal activation domain, and contains a highly conserved RRM (RNA recognition motif), which associates with 5′-UGCAUGU-3′ elements. This protein has been demonstrated to regulate alternative splicing of tissue specific exons and differentially spliced exons during erythropoiesis.

Spécificité

Other homologies: Bovine (98% sequence homology), Canine (98% sequence homology), Equine (98% sequence homology).

Immunogène

MBP-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Fox2.

Application

Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:300 dilution from a representative lot detected Fox2 in human cerebellum tissue.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 1 µg/mL from a representative lot detected Fox2 in A431 cells.

Use Anti-Fox2 Antibody (Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody) validated in IHC(P), ICC, WB to detect Fox2 also known as RNA binding protein fox-1 homolog 2, Fox-1 homolog B.

Qualité

Evaluated by Western Blot in C2C12 cell lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: 50 ng/mL of this antibody detected Fox2 in 10 µg of C2C12 cell lysate.

Description de la cible

~48 kDa observed. Alternative splicing can result in up to 9 isoforms at various molecular weights. Uncharacterized bands between ~60-80 kDa have been observed in some cell lysates.
