General description

A selective 5-HT2A serotonin receptor antagonist with weak adrenergic receptor blocking properties. Strong affinity for 5-HT2AR (Ki = 1.49 nM) relative to other family members like 5-HT2BR (Ki = 740 nM) and 5-HT2CR (Ki = 59 nM). Often used in conjunction with SB 206553 to distinguish 5-HT2AR and 5-HT2CR activity.
