Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

ACLY (ATP citrate lyase) is responsible for cleavage of mitochondria-derived citrate to generate cytosolic acetyl coenzyme A, which is needed for lipid synthesis. It participates in cell growth and gene expression. ACLY is upregulated in many cancers and is associated with proliferation of cancer cells.
