The gene encoding glycine C-acetyltransferase (GCAT) is localized on human chromosome 22q12-13.

Aplicación

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Glycine C-acetyltransferase (GCAT) is involved in the synthesis of glycine and acetyl-coA from L-threonine. It interacts with threonine dehydrogenase and this interaction is very important to carry out the reaction.
