This product is a Cy5-azide. Conjugation may not be possible if the protein of interest has a terminal azide rather than a terminal alkyne. Should this be the case, a Cy5-alkyne such as product 777358, would be recommended. Click chemistry relies on 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of alkynes to azides to form 1,4-disubsituted-1,2,3-triazoles.
