Description générale

The antibody will neutralize human cell surface CXCR-2 mediated-myloperoxidase release from human granulocytes induced by GROα. It will not block myeloperoxidase release induced by IL-8. The antibody reacts with human CXCR-2 transfectant cells and not the parent cell line. The antibody shows no cross-reactivity with CXCR-1.

Immunogène

human CXCR2 transfected NSO mouse myeloma cells.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

CXCR2 is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds IL-8 with high affinity. It mediates migration of neutrophils to the sites of inflammation. It also binds CXCL1 and stimulates growth of melanomas.

Forme physique

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing carbohydrates.

Notes préparatoires

Purified using protein G.

Wound healing requires a complex series of reactions and interactions among cells and their mediators, resulting in an overlapping series of events including coagulation, inflammation, epithelialization, formation of granulation tissue, matrix and scar formation. Natural killer (NK) cells participate in innate and adaptive immune responses to obligate intracellular pathogens and malignant tumors. Two major NK cell subsets have been identified in humans: CD56(dim) CD16+ and CD56(bright) CD16-. Resting CD56(dim) CD16+ NK cells express CXCR1

IFN-γ mediates chemically induced skin inflammation; however, the mechanism by which IFN-γ-producing cells are recruited to the sites of inflammation remains undefined. Secretion of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF), a proinflammatory cytokine, from damaged cells may promote immune cell recruitment.
