General description

The antibody pair provided in this kit recognizes human Urokinase Plasminogen Activator Surface Receptor.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Plasminogen activator, urokinase receptor (PLAUR) is implicated in tumor invasion, angiogenesis and metastasis. It acts as a key regulator of cell-surface plasminogen activator. It is involved in various normal and pathological processes. Overexpression of the gene has been observed in various types of cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Thus, it is considered as an potent biomarker for targeted imaging or therapy. Elevated expression of PLAUR leads to the progression of kidney disease in children.
