Hinweis zur Analyse

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the change in anthocyanins levels in wild blueberries as a function of berry development. The delphinidin, putinidin, peonidin, and malvinidin base-modified components exhibited a dramatic increase in abundance as a function of berry development. The cyanidin base-modified components  exhibited a much lower increase in abundance as a function of berry development, it is uncertain the significance of the rate increase. Chlorogenic acid exhibited a continuous decrease in abundance as a function of berry development. Overall, the combination of UV/Vis detection along with accurate mass TOF enabled a effective method of identification of anthocyanins from blueberry extracts. The Ascentis Express column provided rapid, sensitive detection and rugged operation.

Sonstige Hinweise

Berries (1.0 g) were added to 1.0 mL of 1% (v/v) formic acid in methanol. Samples were crushed in the solvent mixture and extracted (refrigerated) for 2 hours. A portion of the extracted sample was removed, centrifuged and the supernatant was collected for HPLC analysis.
