The HT100A kit was designed for 12 uses, but if the Silver Methanamine solution is split into two 50 ml aliquots, it would be possible to use the kit up to 24 times. For each 50 ml aliquot, only 4 ml of borax solution would be added just before use. The number of slides will depend on the number of slides stained in each run. Each run requires a minimum of 1 slide and a maximum of 13 or 14 slides per staining jar. As such, the number of slides per kit could range from a low of 24 to a high of 672 slides.
