Questions

  1. Hello, I have a question regarding the product. It is mentioned that the purity is >97%, however, it is a mixture of enantiomers. Could you please tell me the enantiomeric ratio of the product. Thank you in advance

    1 answer
    1. The isomers are (+)-alpha-Terpineol and (-)-alpha-Terpineol. For Product 83073, the great majority is the (+)-isomer, as shown by the specific rotation on the Certificate of Analysis: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/certificates/sapfs/PROD/sap/certificate_pdfs/COFA/Q14/83073-BULK-FBCCH4447.pdf.

The enantiomeric excess or enantiomeric purity is not determined on the Certificate of Analysis , thus the information on the exact ratio of the (+) and (-) isomers cannot be provided.
