Unfortunately, this product is not tested to determine the molecular weight and information is limited. The length of poly(g) chains is not determined. Polyguanylic acid is a mixture of different and wide ranging molecules, therefore the number of bases is not determined. There is no size limiting or selecting step during the production process. Historical information is available on past lots, which were assayed by both LALLS assay and a formaldehyde denaturing system. Analysis using the denaturing system indicates a wide range of <80,000 to 500,000 with the greatest density at <80,000 to 210,000 . Two past lots have been analyzed by LALLS resulting in estimated molecular weights of 385,000 and 482,000 daltons.
