Application

Selenourea [(SeC(NH2)2)] has been used as a selenium (Se) precursor for the insertion of Se into protein crystals.
It can also be used as a reagent to synthesize:
  • Selenazoles from α -bromo ketones presence of β -cyclodextrin.
  • Symmetrical diaryl selenides by C-Se cross coupling reaction in presence of coper oxide nanaoparticles as a catalyst.
  • CdSe nanocrystals.

Herein we report on the use of different metal precursors in the synthesis of MoSe2 nanomaterials in order to control their morphology. The use of Mo(CO)6 as the metal precursor resulted in the formation of wrinkled few-layer nanosheets, while the

Reactions of biological oxidizing agents, such as hydroxyl radicals ((*)OH), singlet oxygen ((1)O(2)), hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)), and peroxynitrite (ONOO(-)) with selenourea were studied. The kinetics of the reactions was followed using time-resolved techniques, and the bimolecular rate constants were determined.

The gas-phase reactions between Ca(2+) and selenourea were investigated by means of electrospray/tandem mass spectrometry techniques. The MS/MS spectra of [Ca(selenourea)](2+) complexes show intense peaks at m/z 43, 121, 124, and 146 and assigned to monocations produced in different coulomb
