General description

For applications requiring compatibility with solvents, this Millipore stirred cell is available in two sizes. Certain aldehydes, ketones (e. g., acetone) and aliphatic ethers/esters may reduce the life of the fluorocarbon O-rings. Please contact Millipore for more information.

  • Borosilicate glass cylinder and PTFE components for broad compatibility
  • Autoclavable with membrane in-place
  • Top plate opening provides access to contents without dismantling
  • Few components, so it′s easy to clean and assemble
  • For 47 mm disc filters

Applications

Concentration and Buffer Exchange Involving Organic Solvents

The coconut whey (CW) (underutilized by-product of virgin coconut oil production, with 2-3% protein) was subjected to ultrafiltration for concentration of protein and sugar removal prior to spray drying. The process parameters of ultrafiltration were standardised with respect to transmembrane

Pickering emulsions (PE) are becoming of increasing interest for catalytic multiphase processes. Ultrafiltration of PE is a promising procedure for catalyst recovery to enable continuous processes. Dispersing conditions during production of PE are expected to significantly influence PE characteristics, and

In this paper, the formation of nanostructured triblock terpolymer polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinylpyridine)-b-poly(solketal methacrylate) (PS-b-P4VP-b-PSMA), polystyrene-b-poly(4-vinylpyridine)-b-poly(glyceryl methacrylate) (PS-b-P4VP-b-PGMA) membranes via block copolymer self-assembly followed by non-solvent-induced phase separation (SNIPS) is demonstrated. An increase in the hydrophilicity was observed after treatment of non-charged isoporous
