Application
Potassium ethoxide can be used:
- As a catalyst for transesterification reactions for the synthesis of biodiesel.
- To synthesize nitrogen doped carbon nano-sheets to be used as an anode in sodium ion batteries.
- To promote the arylation reaction of unactivated arenes to synthesize biaryl compounds.
- As a precursor for the synthesis of thin films of (Na0.5K0.5)NbO3 (NKN) and K3Li2Nb5O15 (KLN).
- For ethoxylation of p-chloronitrobenzene in the presence of phase transfer catalysts.
