Application

Interferon-γ from mouse has been used:
  • for in vitro stimulation of the BMDC (bone marrow derived dendritic cell), BMM (bone marrow-derived macrophages) and CD11c+ (CD11 antigen-like family member C) lung macrophages
  • for stimulation of murine macrophages to induce the production of nitrite and nitrate
  • to check CCAAT/enhancer binding protein β (C/EBPβ)-mediated changes in the expression of prostaglandin synthesis enzymes in neuroinflammation

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ifng (interferon-γ) plays an important role in innate and adaptive immune responses, and helps in defense against bacterial infections, dimorphic yeast and some viral infections.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered buffered solution. Package size based on protein content.

Analysis Note

The biological activity of recombinant mouse IFN-γ is measured by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of murine WEHI-279 cells.
