General description
Aquatex® is a ready-to-use aqueous mounting medium used primarily in connection with hematology specimens stained by means of enzyme-cytochemical reactions. It can also be used for mounting purposes in connection with immunohistological specimens or histological lipid stains in frozen sections, e. g. using Oil red O staining solution (Product number 1.02419).
Thanks to the practical user-friendly dropping bottle, the mounting medium can be easily and safely dropped onto the slide without smearing. The closure of the nozzle ensures that the viscosity of the medium remains constant, meaning that the mounting medium is immediately ready for use. 100mL Aquatex® are sufficient for approx. 200 - 300 samples. Aquatex® is an IVD registered product and CE certified, thus can be used for clinical diagnostic purposes. For more details, please see instructions for use (IFU). The IFU can be downloaded from this webpage.
