Application

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

SLC44A2 (solute carrier family 44, member 2) gene encodes a protein also called as choline transporter-like protein 2 (CTL-2). It is a multi-transmembrane protein that is expressed on inner ear supporting cells. It contains 10-11 transmembrane domains and belongs to the choline transporter-like protein family. Antibodies to this protein have been found in patients with autoimmune hearing loss (AHL).
