General description
This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended for the calibration and performance testing of instruments used for the determination of the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area (SSA) by the static volumetric gas sorption technique. A unit of SRM 2206 consists of one bottle containing approximately 5.1 g of high-purity granulated controlled-pore glass with a nominal pore diameter of 300 nm. For more information, please refer to the SDS and COA.

Application
- Isolation, Characterization and Chemical Synthesis of Large Spectrum Antimicrobial Cyclic Dipeptide (l-leu-l-pro) from Streptomyces misionensis V16R3Y1 Bacteria Extracts. A Novel (1)H NMR Metabolomic Approach.: This study employed silica gel for the purification of antimicrobial compounds from bacterial extracts, highlighting its importance in the isolation of bioactive molecules for antimicrobial applications (Saadouli et al., 2020).
- Use of MALDI-TOF MS for the Identification of Chad Mosquitoes and the Origin of Their Blood Meal.: Silica gel was instrumental in the sample preparation for MALDI-TOF MS analysis, aiding in the identification of mosquito species and their blood meals, which is crucial for vector control studies (Diarra et al., 2019).
- Rapid Instant Thin-Layer Chromatography System for Determining the Radiochemical Purity of (68)Ga-DOTATATE.: This study employed silica gel thin-layer chromatography to assess the radiochemical purity of (68)Ga-DOTATATE, underscoring its application in quality control of radiopharmaceuticals (Bornholdt et al., 2018).
