Description générale

The Human P-Selectin ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human P-Selectin in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.P-selectin, also known as cluster of differentiation 62 (CD62) or granule membrane protein 140 (GMP-140), is a Ca2+-dependent lectin. It is expressed within alpha-granules of platelets and the Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells.

Immunogène

Recombinant Human P-Selectin

Application

Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Human P-Selectin ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit has been used in ELISA to quantify P-selectin levels in platelet lysates.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

P-selectin serves as an adhesion molecule and plays an important role in leukocyte rolling and attachment. In addition, it also acts a receptor for myeloid cells by associating with sialylated, fucosylated lactosaminoglycans. Overexpression of P-selectin has been observed in apparently healthy women at risk for future vascular events.
