Gene Information

General description

Neutrophil cytosol factor 1 (UniProt Q09014), also known as 47 kDa neutrophil oxidase factor, NADPH oxidase subunit, Ncf-1, NCF-47K, Neutrophil NADPH oxidase factor 1, p47-phox, p47phox) is encoded by the Ncf1 gene in murine species. Activation of NADPH-oxidase dependent superoxide generation requires the participation of several cytosolic factors, including p47-phox, p67-phox, p40-phox and Rac. In the resting cell, p47phox, p67phox, and p40phox form a large molecular weight cytosolic complex. Activation of the NADPH oxidase is initiated by the assembly of p47phox, p67phox, and Rac with cytochrome b558 in a 1:1:1:1 complex in the plasma membrane.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the C-terminus of mouse p47-phox.

Application

Anti-p47-phox Antibody is an antibody against p47-phox for use in Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected p47-phox in mouse cerebral cortex and mouse small intestine.

Normal neurovascular coupling, mediated by the fine interplay and communication of cells within the neurovascular unit, is critical for maintaining normal brain activity and cognitive function. This study investigated whether, with advancing age there is disruption of neurovascular coupling and
