General description

Modified Tryptic Soy Broth with Novobiocin is recommended for the enrichment of enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC). The nutrients in mTSB broth provide favorable growth conditions, while the mixture of bile salts No. 3 and Novobiocin suppress the growth of the Gram-positive microbial flora.

Application

mTSB broth with Novobiocin is used for the selective enrichment of enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) as well as detection of E. coli serotype O157:H7 in foods.
