Questions

1–2 of 2 Questions
  1. Are these gels compatible with standard Coomassie (R250) staining?

    1 answer
    1. Proteins can be visualized using any Bis-Tris compatible gel staining method, as detailed on page 10 of the user guide. The tested stains include ReadyBlue™ Protein Gel Stain, EZFluor™ 1-step Fluorescent Protein Gel Stain, EZFluor™ UV 1-step Fluorescent Protein Gel Stain, SYPRO® Ruby Protein Gel Stain, traditional Coomassie brilliant blue staining, and traditional Silver Nitrate staining. Some stains require fixation of the gel before staining.

  2. Is mPAGE Lux compatible with other gel casting reagents, and will it work with my acrylamide solutions?

    1 answer
    1. The mPAGE Lux Curing station must be used with the provided reagents. It is only compatible with the proprietary reagent kit, which allows for curing the gel in 90 seconds without the use of APS or TEMED. It will not work with other reagents.
