Descrição geral

Hematopoietic and neurologic expressed sequence 1-like (HN1L) protein is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 16p13.3. HN1L is expressed at varying levels in several tissues including liver, kidney, prostate, testis and uterus. The encoded protein, with a molecular weight of 20kDa, is localized in both nucleus and cytoplasm.

Elevated expression of hematopoietic and neurologic expressed sequence 1-like (HN1L) protein is observed in various types of cancers including squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) adenocarcinoma (AC), adenosquamous cell carcinoma (ASCC), bronchioalveolar carcinoma (BAC), breast and uterus tumors.
