Application

EPA 551A halogenated volatiles mix has been used as a standard in the quenching of disinfection by-products in water like trihalomethanes and haloacetic acid by hydrogen peroxide as disinfectant using gas chromatography method of analysis (GC). It may be used as a certified reference standard for the quantification of trihalomethanes in environmental matrices using gas chromatography technique.
