General description

Tedlar is recommended in several US EPA methods for sampling VOCs and sulfur compounds. Our Tedlar is made from a high-quality 2 mil Tedlar film for superior inertness, impermeability, sample integrity and good recovery data. Our Push Lock Valve (PLV) and seam-sealing process ensure that these bags are sturdy and virtually leak-proof, even under the most demanding sampling and shipping conditions.

Application

  • The Effect of Tedlar Bags on the Composition of Exhaled Human Breath Samples: This study investigates the impact of using Tedlar® gas sampling bags on the composition of exhaled breath samples, crucial for accurate health diagnostics and environmental monitoring (Zhao, Zhu, Zhang, 2022).

  • Quantification of volatile organic compounds by secondary electrospray ionization-high resolution mass spectrometry: Research discusses the efficiency of Tedlar® bags in capturing and preserving volatile organic compounds for high-resolution mass spectrometry analysis, vital for chemical and environmental analysis (Liu, Zeng, Sinues, Fang, Zhou, Li, 2021).

  • Washout kinetics of ethanol from the airways following inhalation of ethanol vapors and use of mouthwash: The study utilizes Tedlar® bags to evaluate the washout kinetics of ethanol, providing insights into occupational health and forensic medicine (Ernstgård, Pexaras, Johanson, 2020).

  • Testing odorants recovery from a novel metallized fluorinated ethylene propylene gas sampling bag: This investigation compares the effectiveness of Tedlar® bags in recovering odorants, essential for environmental odor management (Zhu, Koziel, Cai, Wright, Kuhrt, 2015).

  • Stability of selected volatile breath constituents in Tedlar, Kynar and Flexfilm sampling bags: Analyzes the stability of volatile compounds in Tedlar® bags, crucial for ensuring the reliability of breath analysis in clinical diagnostics and environmental studies (Mochalski, King, Unterkofler, Amann, 2013).
