General description

A stable, cell-permeable nitroxide free radical that acts as a radical scavenger and nitric oxide spin trap. Induces oxidative stress and enhances the levels of p21WAF1 in HL-60 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Reported to reduce organ injury following hemorrhagic shock. Exhibits radio-protective and anti-proliferative properties.
