General description

Silver nanowires are a one-dimensional nanomaterial of metallic silver with a high aspect ratio (length vs diameter). These nanowires have a length of 10 microns and a diameter of 200 nm. Our silver nanowires combine high electrical conductivity with low light extinction in the visible making them useful in a wide range of applications, from transparent electrodes, to temperature and pressure sensors.

Application

Silver nanowires have been studied for use in electronic and biological applications including transparent conductors; and water sterilization . Silver nanowires have also been studied as plasmonic and as components in amorphous semiconductors.
