General description
EPA 531.1 Carbamate Mix is a multi-component solution containing certified reference materials (CRMs) such as aldicarb, aldicarb-sulfone, aldicarb-sulfoxide, carbofuran, carbofuran-3-hydroxy, 1-naphthyl-N-methylcarbamate, methiocarb, methomyl, oxamyl, and propoxur. It may be used for identifying and quantifying carbamates in drinking water. The pre-requisite of EPA 531.1 method is the use of gas chromatography (GC) with a selective detector, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) or high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
Application
EPA 531.1 Carbamate Mix may be used as a CRM standard to quantify the carbamate pesticides in fresh herbs by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
