Proclin 150, ProClin 200, and ProClin 300 are known for their effectiveness as biocides, providing protection against yeast and fungi. Each of these products contains the active ingredients CMIT and MIT. However, ProClin 950 only contains MIT and lacks CMIT, making it ineffective as a fungicide. This deficiency may explain the fungal growth you are observing.

Please provide insight on whether Proclin 950 acts as an antimicrobial and effectively inhibits mold. Also, suggest an alternative preservative to inhibit both bacteria and mold. The current use of Proclin 950 at 0.05% is leading to the growth of fungi/mold (Cladosporium asperulatum and Penicillium chrysogenum) in the liquid reagent.
