General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency and is intended for use as Proton-Exchange Membranes (Fuel-Cell Membranes). Click here for more information.

Application

HYDREX Composite membranes are ultra-thin, highly selective, and highly permeable reinforced membranes based on a proprietary polyamine polymer. The reinforcement layer is a porous substrate integrated into the structure of the membrane to provide enhanced mechanical properties. The enhanced mechanical properties allow the HYDREX membranes to be produced much thinner than standard extruded membranes, providing higher permeability of polar compounds without sacrificing strength. The HYDREX membranes can be used in applications where high thermal and chemical stability are not required. This includes applications such as conditioning of air and non-corrosive gases.
