Application

N-Heptafluorobutyrylimidazole may be used as a derivatization reagent in the gas-liquid chromatographic (GLC) analysis of the following compounds:
  • deoxynivalenol in wheat[1]
  • antibiotics (gentamicin, tobramycin, netilmicin, and amikacin) in human serum[2]
  • melatonin[3]
  • heptafluorobutyryl compounds formed by acylation of indolealkylamines[4]
  • acylation products of of morphine, codeine and nalorphine[5]
