Application

Octyl β-D-1-thioglucopyranoside can be used as a non-ionic detergent for solubilization and reconstitution of membrane proteins. It has been used in a study to assess the crystallization and preliminary x-ray analysis of human plasma apolipoprotein C-I. [1] It has also been used in a study that investigated the identification of Chlamydia pneumoniae proteins. [2]
