Beschreibung

General description

Der Antikörper erkennt ein Epitop am C-Terminus von Aktin, der in allen Aktin-Isoformen konserviert ist. Er markiert gezielt Aktin in einer Vielzahl von Geweben und Spezies. Das vom Antikörper erkannte Epitop ist resistent gegenüber Formalinfixierung und Paraffineinbettung. Zink-Formalin, B5, Ethanol, Methacarn und Brunnel- oder Bouin-Lösung können ebenfalls als Fixiermittel verwendet werden.

Monoclonal Anti-Actin (mouse IgG2a isotype) is derived from the AC-40 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse. Actin has six isoforms. Four of them represent the differentiation markers of muscle tissues and two are found practically in all cells. There are three α-actins (α-skeletal, α-cardiac and α-smooth muscle), one β-actin (β-nonmuscle) and two γ-actins (γ-smooth muscle and γ-nonmuscle).

Application

Als primärer Antikörper für die Western-Blot-Analyse von MDCK-Zelllysaten wurde ein monoklonaler Anti-Aktin-Antikörper verwendet.

Monoklonaler Anti-Aktin-Antikörper wurde für die Western-Blot-Analyse von Cos-7-Zelllysaten verwendet, um eine gleichmäßige Beladung von Proteinen zu garantieren.

Monoclonal Anti-Actin-Cy3 antibody has been used in immunofluorescent staining.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Actin and myosin are constituents of many cell types and are involved in a myriad of cellular processes including locomotion, secretion, cytoplasmic streaming, phagocytosis and cytokinesis.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 15 mM sodium azide.
