General description
Aztreonam gehört zur Gruppe der monocyclischen β-Lactam-Antibiotika, die aus Chromobacterium violaceum isoliert werden. Es wird gegen Infektionen mit gramnegativen Bakterien wie Infektionen von Blase, Nieren, Knochen und Harnwegen eingesetzt. Es wirkt durch das Binden an Penicillin-Bindungsprotein-3 (PBP3) und das Hemmen der Synthese der Bakterienzellwand, was zur Zelllyse und zum Zelltod führt.
Application
Der Analysestandard kann wie folgt verwendet werden:
- Zum Bestimmen von Aztreonam in zwei simulierten Lungenflüssigkeitslösungen (künstliche lysosomale Flüssigkeit und Gamble-Lösung) mittels UV-Spektroskopie
- Multirückstandsanalyse von acht β-Lactamen mittels Ultrahochleistungsflüssigkeitschromatografie (UHPLC) in Kombination mit einem Photodioden-Array(PDA)-Detektor in Humanplasma- & -serumproben
- Gleichzeitige quantitative Analyse von neun β-Lactamen mittels UHPLC mit Tandem-Massenspektrometrie (MS/MS) an Humanplasmaproben
