Biochem/physiol Actions

In Ingwer (Zingiber officinale) gefundene bioaktive Verbindung mit antioxidativer Aktivität, wirkt entzündungshemmend und als Antitumormittel. [6]-Gingerol senkt proinflammatorische Zytokinfreisetzung durch Makrophagen. Es inhibiert COX-2-Expression durch die Blockierung der Aktivierung von p38 MAP-Kinase und NF-kappaB in Phorbolester stimulierter Maushaut.
