General description

Titanium(IV) oxysulfate is known to form a yellow complex upon reaction with hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) which facilitates the latter′s determination by spectrophotometric methods.

Application

Titanium(IV) oxysulfate solution may be used for the determination of H₂O₂ in:

• Municipal wastewater samples by colorimetry and spectrophotometry methods according to DIN 38 409.

TiOSO₄ (titanium (IV) oxysulfate) was used for the preparation of stable amorphous titanium oxide (TiO₂) hollow microspheres.
