General description

Milliflex^® Cassette are ready to use agar-based media to be used with Milliflex^® or Milliflex Oasis^® system for convenient, rapid and reliable bioburden testing. The prefilled agar cassette helps to streamline the microbial contamination testing workflow with quality assurance and avoiding risks of exogenous contamination. Each plate is a 3-piece assembly containing approximately 10ml of the media. KF Strep Agar is designed for the recovery of Enterococci (fecal streptococci) found in various types of water. Maltose and lactose serve as a source of energy and sodium azide is the selective agent. Bromocresol purple (indicator dye) turns to yellow when acid is produced and TTC is a redox indicator causing enterococci colonies to have a deep red colour as a result of tetrazolium reduction to an acidic azo dye.

Application

Milliflex^® Cassette prefilled with KF Strep Agar is used in Bioburden testing and general microbiological analysis of water, wastewater and dairy products. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, cosmetic and brewing industry.
