Beschreibung

General description

Eine zellpermeable Hydrazonverbindung, die reversibel den eukaryotischen Translations-Initiationsfaktor 4E (eIF4E, K_D = 25 µM) bindet und die Komplexbildung von eIF4E/eIF4G, nicht jedoch eIF4E/4E-BP1, unterbricht. Reguliert gemäß Berichten die Protein-, nicht jedoch mRNA-Werte von c-Myc und Bcl-x_L in Jurkat-Zellen herunter (8 Stunden) und führt nach längerer Exposition (24 Stunden, IC₅₀ = ~ 25 µM) zum apoptotischen Zelltod. Auch als 25-mM-Lösung in DMSO verfügbar (Katalog-Nr. 324519).
