General description

Metalaxyl, also known as Ridomil, is a phenylamide and systemic benzoic fungicide. It is generally used to control infection caused by Phytophthora infestans.

Application

Metalaxyl has been used as reference standard in Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometric method for determination of metalaxyl in pesticide formulations.
