Application

This polymer is a amphiphilic diblock copolymer composed of a hydrophobic PLGA block and a hydrophilic poly(glutamic acid) block. PLGA is a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer that has been approved by the FDA and the EMA for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. Poly(glutamic acid) is biodegradable, non-toxic and non-immunogenic macromolecules. This biodegradable, biocompatible polymers can self-assemble to form nanoparticles, such as micelles and polymersomes, for drug delivery applications

In the past decade, poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA)-based micro/nanoparticles have garnered remarkable attention as antimicrobial agents and for drug delivery, owing to their controlled and sustained-release properties, low toxicity, as well as biocompatibility with tissue and cells. γ-PGA is a naturally

Nanoparticles (NPs) with ternary components of polyethyleneimine (PEI), poly-(γ-glutamic acid) (γ-PGA), and poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) were applied to carry and release saquinavir (SQV). Hydrophobic SQV was encapsulated in the particle core composed of PLGA to form SQV-PLGA NPs, and the surface
