General description
Full-length, recombinant, human UbcH5c expressed in E. coli. UbcH5c, an E2 ubiquitin ligase, is highly homologous to the yeast UbC4/5 family of E2 enzymes. UbcH5c, together with UbcH5a and UbcH5b, are the most active class of E2 enzymes in cell extracts and are associated with regulation of transcription factors such as p53, NF-κB3, and c-Fos. The active enzyme is useful in the study of ubiquitin regulation and inhibitor screening.
