General description

Rab14 (Ras-related protein) is a Golgi-related Rab, that is located on chromosome 9q33.2. It is present in the endo-lysosomal pathway and contractile vacuole system of membranes. It is expressed almost in all tissues.
Rab14 (Ras-related protein) is a member of the Rab family of small guanosine triphosphatases (GTPases).

Application

Anti-Rab14 (C-terminal) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in:immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, indirect immunofluorescence.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Rab14 (Ras-related protein) participates in membrane trafficking between the Golgi complex and endosomes. It may play an important role in surfactant secretion.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
