Biochem/physiol Actions

EMPA is a potent, selective OX2R antagonist (IC50 = 2.3 nM). EMPA binds reversibly to OX2R and inhibits orexin-a and -b-evoked intracellular calcium flux in cells expressing recombinant OX2R, but not OX1R.
